"My step brother was foundering in college, had very low self-esteem and was avoiding his family. His father and mother were worried about his future as he showed no signs of understanding his situation. He was seeing another therapist and it wasn't helping. His therapist said that he was immature and his father said he was lazy. Last summer you met him and his mother and worked with both of them over the course of three days. When my step brother returned to school his academic performance was much improved, as was his attitude and outlook. He has revived his relationship with his father and is on a course to complete his college degree. Everyone is thrilled and amazed.”

"I found Pamela three years ago to begin couples/pre-marital counseling with my boyfriend. Over these last years she has been instrumental to our success as both a couple and as two individuals. Her keen perception and intuition picked up on the fact that my boyfriend may have Aspergers, which led to a whole new world of understanding and compassion in our relationship. Through lots of hard work and perseverance, Pamela helped us see that we both essentially have the same wants and life goals when it comes to a partnership, we were just getting lost in differing communication techniques and habits picked up from our families and our childhoods. During our sessions she was able to help us navigate through both of our experiences, all the while helping us recognize the influences outside the relationship that may be affecting us as a couple.
After working with her and benefiting from her honest and exceptional counseling style, I referred a close member of my family to her who was transitioning into college and dealing with the repercussions of quite a dysfunctional family home. Pamela has been a great help to my loved one and has demonstrated that she can truly assist individuals and couples at all stages and from all walks of life. I would trust her with any other member of my family and will continue to confide in her and look to her for my own personal guidance and support. Pamela’s intuition, education, knowledge, and ability to understand and process her client’s emotions make her a stand-up counselor. My family and I are eternally grateful to her for helping us shed baggage that was dragging us down, and to look to the future with an honest and positive outlook.”

"We were having issues with our son at school and at home. The behaviors seemed sporadic and we couldn’t figure out what was causing them. We had our son formally evaluated but didn’t get the answers we needed. Things were escalating when we found Pamela She was able to put together the various pieces of the puzzle to bring out the true picture. It was like she turned on the light in a dark room. Our son got a proper diagnosis and Pamela helped us advocate for him at the school to receive effective support, with very positive results. As parents we are also more patient since we now better understand how he approaches the world and have effective tools to help him. Our daughter was also having some issues, although different than her brother. She had also been formally evaluated with no real answers forthcoming. Pamela again took all the bits of information and her knowledge of our daughter and found the connecting pattern. She provided a true diagnosis and strategies that have really helped our daughter. We continue to check back in with Pamela as our kids grow and face new challenges. She has been an invaluable source of useful information and support for our family."

"I started working with Pamela when I was struggling with a severe eating disorder and clinical depression. Pamela was exactly the professional I needed at that moment - kind, patient, compassionate but direct. She helped me learn to distinguish the difference between what I could do to address my illnesses and what I could not control about them. Then she helped me develop the skills I needed to help myself get well. Under her dedicated, actionable care, I went from a severely depressed college drop-out to a successful young professional and college graduate. I highly recommend Pamela to anyone who needs a therapist in their corner - her abilities will change your life."

"Pamela Mazza is a sharp intuitive thinker who's knowledge of psychology makes her invaluable to her clients. Her counseling has helped me, a young adult with autism, immeasurably as I sort out my psychological and processing differences. She not only helps me make my way through closed doors, but she shines an illuminating light showing me those doors are even there. I could not have asked for a more caring, intelligent and thoughtful therapist and coach."
                                                                                                                                                                                                           Carlo V.

"My girlfriend and I approached Pamela in search of couples/pre-marital counseling a few years ago and have stayed with her since for both couples and individual counseling. Her style of therapy doesn’t feel as cold or distant as what I consider 'traditional' therapy, rather it is natural and compassionate. She has a direct and intuitive personality that makes her a profoundly effective mental health professional. She is adept, confident, and light natured, which allows for a comfortable yet productive counseling experience. In addition to the standard clinical information, she introduces into her sessions the influences of culture, gender, and family that provides for a more thorough picture of who we are. This is significant, because it helped shed light on why I am who am I am, which has empowered me to decide who I want to be moving forward.
Pamela has been an integral part of my awakening as an adult. She discovered early on that I may have Asperger’s Syndrome. Over time, we began individual sessions. Pamela’s patience and great ability to break down concepts in easy to understand morsels allowed me to get through the difficulty of accepting the mind-blowing news and working on my new perspective of life. She tailors our discussions to accommodate my manner of comprehension and gently compels my participation, which opens the space for processing and awareness of myself and the world around me. This new consciousness has been critical to my growth and success as an individual.
I have referred family and friends to her because I trust that she is able to accommodate them regardless of their age or issue. She is a refreshing and stellar addition to the mental health provider community and I am glad to have found her."
